Key Point of Electrostatic Dry Operation in Enamel

The surface quality of enamel products made by electrostatic dry method is higher than that of wet porcelain surface. There is no clay, quartz, nitrous, borax and other abrasives in the electrostatic powder, so the luster of the porcelain surface is better. In the electrostatic operation, we must pay attention to the air pressure (7 atmospheres), the current (80-100 mA), the spray gun distance (15-20cm), the spray gun angle, the line speed (the speed determines the thickness of the powder layer), the dryness of the powder, Air dryness, powder fluidity and other issues.

The problem of poor powder feeding rate is often encountered in electrostatic operation. In addition to powder being an important factor, the dry humidity of our ambient air must also be ensured. Generally, the dryness of the air must be guaranteed to be above 60%, that is, the air conditioner must be turned on first in the electrostatic room. Compressed air is guaranteed to be moisture-free, and it is generally filtered twice. The electrostatic powder is guaranteed to be dry and moisture-free. It is best to dry the remaining powder after use on the same day. After 2 hours in the electrostatic room, the dust must be cleaned slightly to ensure the smooth flow of the positive and negative circuits. The distance between the electrostatic gun and the workpiece is appropriate, generally no more than 30cm. A long distance affects the adsorption of positive and negative ions, and too close (less than 15cm) is prone to static electricity, and orange peel wrinkles on the porcelain surface.
