How to Measure the Uniformity of Enamel Material?

After mixing the enamel batch material, we require the uniformity to reach more than 96%, so how to measure the uniformity? Here are two methods.

The first is the titration method. In the mixed powder, press the upper, middle and lower parts to take a sample of about 100g each, and then weigh 2g (accurate to one thousandth) from it and place it in a 250ml beaker. Add 50ml of distilled water to each, heat to boiling, filter with qualitative filter paper, add 2 drops of methyl orange indicator to each, and titrate to reddish with 0.5N HCL.

Calculation method: uniformity=(1-(A-B)/B)×100%

A——The maximum consumption of HCL in milliliters during titration

B——The minimum consumption of HCL in milliliters during titration

The second is the dissolution method. In the mixed powder, according to the upper, middle and lower parts, use sampling bottles to sample 10~20g respectively, remove 5~7g by quarter method for each sample, accurately weigh 3~5g from it, add distilled water to boil for 1 hours, filter, wash, dry and weigh the insoluble matter, and judge the uniformity of mixing according to the weight difference of the insoluble matter of the three samples.
